I went to the Whitney Biennial last week and the best work that I saw was Kerry Tribe's film H.M. It was unexpectedly compelling and moving, and really stood out from the collection which was, overall, a little detached.
"Kerry Tribe's rigorously crafted, large-scale projects in film, video and installation form an ongoing investigation into memory, subjectivity and doubt. She regularly invites actors, crew members and technical specialists to participate in her work, producing lucid philosophical inquiries through structurally rigorous forms." photos and quote from Tribe's website.
